Climate Change Communications tour

Fifteen Griffith University students and three academics (Dr Kerrie Foxwell-Norton, Dr Samid Suliman and Dr Kasun Ubayasiri) and SBS Pacific correspondent Stefan Armbruster traveled to Vanuatu. This program was one of the first 'Climate Change Communication Mobility Tour' funded by the New Colombo Plan.

Our role was to give a voice to the people of Vanuatu, to showcase their strength and to challenge the stories that have been told. Vanuatu is only three hours away from Brisbane, Australia, and comprised of 83 small islands. We were immersed in their Kastoms and traditional knowledge which build resilience in the face our biggest problem, climate change.
